The Town of Ridgway is currently seeking the following proposals/bids:

REQUEST FOR BIDS

Bids will be received by the Town of Ridgway, Colorado until 3:00 pm Wednesday March 17, 2010  , at the Ridgway Town Hall, 201 N. Railroad St. Ridgway, CO, to furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and installation of 25-foot diameter Gazebo.  The new Gazebo will resemble the existing structure in Town Park directly in front of Town Hall and be constructed largely of wood frame and hewn timbers.

The location of the new Gazebo is within the Ridgway Regional Athletic Park directly south of the Chipeta Sun Lodge.  This project has been awarded with GOCO grant funding and is subject to budgetary limits, and in-kind contributions or fee reductions are welcome.   Please note that this is a fast-track project that is intended to be completed prior to Memorial Day Weekend.  The Town will provide all necessary site work in preparation of construction.  It is intended that the structure be comprised of green materials including beetle-kill salvaged timbers; recycled-rubber shingles are encouraged as a substitute to wood shakes.  Preliminary drawings of the structure, information on rubber shingles, site location, bid form and contract documents are available on the Town’s website www.town.ridgway.co.us.

At the above stated time and place, bids will be opened, and tabulated, but will be promptly acted upon by the Town.  Bids received after closing time will be returned unopened.  Paper bids must be received in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the Bidder's name and address and labeled "Ridgway Gazebo”.  Electronic bids will be accepted.  Please send electronic bids to gclifton@town.ridgway.co.us.

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and to negotiate contract terms with the successful Bidder, or to accept the bid for the contract which in its judgment best serves the interest of the Town, and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids.

Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents.  The failure or omission of any bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any bidder from any obligation in respect to its bid.
